Governor General of Khorasan Razavi Province Alireza Rashidian here on Wednesday stressed on the development of economic interactions of the provinces located in Zone Five of the country within the framework of cooperation council with an aim of enhancing trade relations with the neighboring countries.
Speaking at a local session on government and private sector discourse, he said the provinces of Sistan-Baluchestan, Yazd, Kerman, North and South Khorasans due to common geographical situation enjoy the possibility of developing relations within chambers of commerce.
He said negotiations are underway for the joining of Golestan and Hormuzgan provinces to Zone Five which, in case of agreement, grounds will be paved for the development of export-oriented economic interactions with the neighboring countries.
Referring to the results of recent visits of government and commercial delegations of different countries to Mashhad, Rashidian said the visit of governor General of Basra with regard to the existing industrial grounds in the province provided the necessary prerequisites for organizing specialized exhibitions in Iran and for the development of economic interactions.
He pointed to the next week visit of a 75-member Polish delegation to Mashhad and said preparations have been made within eight specialized working groups with an aim of supporting domestic products.
The official further remarked that holding exhibitions of Khorasan economic capacities in Kabul, meeting with Indian ambassador and presence of economic delegations from Lahore in a near future will provide the atmosphere for the improvement of economic conditions and development of interactions of Khorasan Razavi with an aim of promoting exports in the post-sanction era.
